Vape Pen Troubleshooting: 4 Simple Tricks On How to Fix your Vape Pen

There’s nothing more frustrating than looking forward to a vape session and being held up by an irritating problem with your device you can’t quite figure out. However, understanding the issue and knowing how to fix it can get you back on track in a snap.

Vapeking has put together a troubleshooting guide addressing the frustrating issues vapers often experience with their devices. Check out these 4 simple tricks.

Ensure your device is assembled properly.

If you are experiencing leaking, it is most likely because you’ve made an error when assembling the vape.

Check to make sure you’ve screwed in everything together right. Examine your tank carefully to ensure there are no cracks and that you have securely attached it to the battery.

Are the seals and o-rings in good condition and placed correctly? These provide a tight seal and help to prevent your vape liquid from leaking and making a mess. Your device has several different seals, so examine them closely and be sure to replace them if they look damaged.

Check your coil.

Coils tend to burn out eventually. If you are experiencing gurgling sounds, a burnt taste in your mouth, or even leaking - this could be a sign there is something wrong with your coil.

You can try to prolong the life of your coil by regularly cleaning it to wash away dust and oil. Check out these tips on how to effectively clean your vape coils.

Vape coils do need to be replaced every so often. The timeframe will depend on how often you’re vaping. If you're a frequent user, it may need to be changed once a week, but for someone who vapes less - once a month is usually the general rule of thumb.

If you are using a new coil, be sure to soak it in vape liquid before use. Neglecting to do this could result in a burnt taste or cause other frustrating issues with your vape.

Adjust your battery.

Vape batteries can be extremely finicky. If your vape isn’t turning on, the battery life is poor or it’s becoming hard to pull - these could be signs there are issues with your battery.

First, check your vape is fully charged and turned on. If it is, then there may be issues with how the vape was assembled. Take the vape apart and make sure the battery is screwed on properly.

If you are still experiencing issues, it could be time for a new battery. Be sure when purchasing a new battery or batteries, you purchase the right one for your vape. Lithium batteries can be dangerous if mishandled, so check out these safety tips for lithium batteries before removing them.

Check your liquid.

Vape liquid is an important part of your vape. It can cause a range of problems including a burnt flavour, no vapor or popping and gurgling. If you are experiencing any of these issues, it might have to do with your e-juice.

Check to make sure you are using the right liquid for your vape. Also make sure you have topped up the liquid, but that it is not overflowing, as this can cause issues with vaping quality.
